Summary
One of a pair of identical bridesmaids dresses in cream silk satin. The bodices unshaped, with piped square neckline, high waistline , straight sleeves; the skirts slightly gathered. Glass bugle and pearl bead embroidery to neckline, row of glass bugles to cuff and hem. Alterations; the original beaded cuffs removed (and the hems slightly taken up?) after the wedding for wear as Sunday best. Originally worn with powder-blue chiffon sashes (also used to trim mob caps) and little gold brooches, set with single pearl, given by groom. 1919 (circa)
