Summary
Part of an ivory silk taffeta, three piece dress; bodice, skirt and overskirt. Bodice close fitting with round neck, fastening with nine satin buttons (1 replaced) to front, trimmed with two bands of lace, net and silk fringing round neck and front opening, basques trimmed with ruched silk and fringing, back trimmed with bows; sleeves ruched, the deep turned back cuffs trimmed with net, lace and bows. Lined in glazed silesia (and stiff muslin to basques). 1875 (circa)
