Summary
Day dress - Glazed cotton printed with trailing leaf design in green, lilac, yellow, tan and orange on a dark brown ground. Bodice with shallow open neck, ruched panels curving from shoulders to centre waist, piped seams, back fastening with hook and stitched bow. Sleeves with ruched upper arms, double volans above full elbow tapering to cuffed wrist. Skirt gauged gathered onto waistband, pocket slit to right side. Bodice lined with glazed linen , sleeves lined with white linen, waistband wide twill tape. Lower skirt lined in glazed grey cotton. Note; Mineral colours / chemical resist. probably worn by lady of the house with silk apron, muslin tucker. See tucker 05299 and apron 05301
