Summary
One of a pair of black leather court shoes. Pointed toe, 2 1/8 in composition (celluloid covered) heel. Beaded vamp incorporatingcut out tab. Cream satin sock stamped 'The Brit Ban regd' 'T.Elliott and Sons Ltd. Wyde Toze Westborne Grove.W.' Note; Beaded vamps were very popular in Edwardian times. In 1906 sweated industries exhibition revealed the conditions of the beaders so they were imported. See Swann's book 'Shoes' p.60. 1900 - 1905 (circa)
