Summary
Wedding dress skirt - Has darts at waist, single panel to side seams, the back in four panels pleated into centre back at waist. Lined in glazed cotton and the hem edged inside with pleated stiffened muslin, lace edged. A sash hangs from the waist on the right hand side, this is trimmed with cord and chiffon, the latter having grains of rice caught in it's folds. Note; Sash sewn to waistband where stitching indicated, 1896. A similar sash appears to have been hanging on the left hand side. 1896 (circa)
