Summary
Bridesmaid's dress - Cream silk grosgrain dress the sleeves and neckline trimmed and piped with embroidered satin, the lower sleeves and top bodice of pintucked net. Waist slightly high, pouched front with satin rouleau in serpentine design. Skirt is gored, the hemline with satin rouleau. Cord around waist to hang in front, the two ends are tasselled. 1908 (circa)
Provenance
thought to be the donor's mother's wedding dress worn 16th August 1899, but the style seems wrong for the date and there is no train.
