Summary
Dress - Striped printed muslin dress and cape. Dress is slightly high waisted, the bodice lined in linen. Boat shaped neckline, bound and piped. Imbecile, sleeves, the sleeve heads pleated and bound. The cuffs similarly, with two self covered fabric butoon closing. The bodice front is gathered to the waistband over the bust. Skirt has pocket slit in right hand side and is unlined except for bottom 5 in. Flat brass hook and eye fastenings. Alteration; Centre back of bodice was let out by donor so she could wear it. Fabric taken from skirt. 1829 - 1836 (circa)
