Girl’s coat, about 1909. On display during 2011 and 2012. Silk satin with hand-embroidered net collar and cuffs, and thread embroidered buttons. Made and sold by Liberty and Co., London and Paris. The department store had opened new premises to execute their embroidery designs in 1907. This coat is similar to one advertised by the firm in 1909, shown with a large brimmed hat, at nine guineas.
Summary
