Summary

Cream silk girl's dress with machine embroidery and smocking. Scooped neckline with gathered embroidered 2 1/2 in frill and edged with lace. Long loose square bodice attached to low waistband. Bodice has back and front panels of smocking. Centre back mother-of-pearl button fastening. Sleeves are short and loose with double frills. Skirt with two flounces both gathered to low waistband, edged with machine embroidery. Bodice lined in cotton. 1885 - 1895 (circa)
