Summary
Dark and pale blue striped shot silk dress, pagoda sleeves trimmed with black velvet, black velvet buttons down centre front, fastening by hook and eye beneath. Epaulettes over sleeves, sleeves edged with pleated black satin ribbon and lined in blue silk. Boned and cotton lined bodice, front randomly pleated, with low shoulderline, pleating ruched at centre front waist. Skirt is pleated to piped waistband, lined in cotton and bound in blue braid. Alteration; skirt has been shortened and machined with black binding Bradfield Costume in Detail. 1858 - 1860 (circa)
