Summary
An oak log box, English, late 19th/early 20th century, using some earlier timbers. With raised back edged with carved rails and centred with a lion's mask. The box fronted by two panels in deep edge mouldings and each with a painted heraldic shield. The ends each of one panel.

Purchased by National Trust in 1992/93 through private treaty sale with NHMF aid.
