Portrait miniature, Sir John Yate, 4th Bt (c. 1660-1690) (after Adriaen van der Werff) by Thomas Flatman (London 1635 – London 1688) or possibly a follower of Franceszak Smiadecki (fl.1596-1616). c.1665. Painted oval, half length portrait of a young man, turned to the left, gazing at the spectator over his left shoulder, long dark wig, dressed in armour with wide lace cravat (after van der Werff). Drape on left and top, cloudy sky on right.

Portrait miniature, Sir John Yate (after Adriaen van der Werff) by Thomas Flatman (London 1635 – London 1688) or possibly a follower of Franceszak Smiadecki (fl.1596-1616). c.1665. Painted oval, half length portrait of a young man, turned to the left, gazing at the spectator over his left shoulder, long dark wig, dressed in armour with wide lace cravat (after van der Werff).
