Summary

Mourning bodice made from black ribbed silk with a brown cotton twill lining. It has front darts and boned side seams and facings of black silk ribbon. It is close fitting with a front opening. It comes below the waist coming to a low curved point in front. It is square pointed and pleated at the back. it has a stand collar and a shaped fill-in of matching fabric ruched across the bosom. There are 20 small black composite domed buttons. The collar is pinned. (female)
