Summary
Wig and headpiece of brown human hair with a foundation of brown silk net edged with brown ribbed silk ribbon. It is elasticated in channels across the back with short lengths of stiffening at intervals up from the edge. The hair is bound into strips then sewn onto the foundation. It is short and wispy all over. Inside is a printed silk maker's label; 'Ross's Imposition Inimitable Peruques 119 Bishopsgate Witham'. (male)
