Summary
One of a pair of black leather military field boots with a narrow almond shaped toe and a stacked heel. The sole is stamped at the waist 'Peal'. There is an opening at the front with 4 pairs of metal eyelet holes, leather tongue and leather lace. The top of the leg curves downwards from the front to the back with the cusp at the centre front. There are a pair of webbing straps inside the boots and a back strap from heel to top of the leg. They are a turn shoe and welted construction. There is a label with gold printing on the inside front of the boot 'Peal and Co, Original waterproof, Boot Makers to the Royal Family, 487 Oxford Street, London' with the royal coat of arms. The wooden trees are in 3 sections joined with a metal hinge marked 'L' 'R'. The centre section has a wooden handle and brass label 'RPH Bernard' and 'Peal and Co, Makers'. Probably dress boots.
