Summary
Boy's coat made from twill cotton with a nutria brown ground, quadrilled with cream and nutmeg, victrix blue, mace and Alice blue. It has a falcon cotton tabby bodice, falcon cotton twill skirts (fronts only) and banana cotton tabby weave sleeves. The coat has a rolled collar with a slipped lapel. The back has 5 seams with fastenings to the neck to waist seam. There is a waist seam. The centre back has a tack over vent and 2 pleats. There are fullish skirts. The hem is rounded at centre front. There are shaped sleeves cut in 2 pieces split at the wrist. There are 2 pockets with flaps. It is handstitched. The coat fastens with 4 buttons and holes down the centre front. 1 button and hole on each sleeve, 2 centre back at the waist seam. All buttons are covered in a black. (boy) fabric.
