Summary
Uniform trousers - Red napped wool trousers with a cotton waistband, pockets, crutch and facings. Wooden buttons on waistband and fly fastening. On waistband a label '2e 64 8838 21e de l' (possibly 21 reg of the line. On the placket 'Paris 4859 ......?BARITE' On the facing' A DUSAUTOY?????militaries' and on fob pocket ' B C (and possibly a lion).' Trousers of this colour were introduced in 1829 and in use until 1916. Could belong to coatee SNO.TC.2143. (uniform)
