Summary
Hat; Boater - Made from 7 end plain improved plait with twisted head. Straw. The edge is yellow in colour. It is coated with a clear glaze and lined with glazed cotton with a printed label with a coat of arms over a globe crossed with ribbon showing 'London Manufacture' and a size label 7, tie label 'No.4'. It has a leather hatband. See SNO.TC.1263. There is a cotton net side lining beneath the headband with a blue cord. It is handstitched with linen thread and trimmed with brown/black silk ribbon.
