Summary
Uniform hat - Made from black silk with a green quilted lining. It is cocked with curved back and front flaps. The crown has a flat top and a cockade holder. There is a loop of gilt overlapping platelets and two pieces of silk braid on either side of the front flap, diagonally across. (General Services Pattern). The metal loop is not traced in the 1900 Dress Regulations although the flaps conform. Wade note and sketch on a square piece of paper.(male) (uniform)
