Summary
Uniform hat - Made from black beaver and lined with red silk with a leather headband. It is cocked with slightly curved front and back flaps. The brims are bound with black silk cord (General Officer Pattern). There is a black ribbed silk cockade and two pieces of wide silk braid either side of the front flap going diagonally across. There is a square metal plume holder in the crown. It is General Officer or below - gold bullion and lace missing. (male) (uniform)
