Summary
Uniform hat - Made from black beaver and lined with cream silk with a label 'Cater and Co, Pall Mall London' surmounted by 'VR' and the Royal Crown. There is one bone button either side of the crown. It is cocked with a curved back and front flap. It is designed to be carried flat. There are two pieces of silk braid on either side of the front flap going diagonally across. There is a strip of leather on the back of the front flap for the plume (General Services Pattern). Flap height corresponds to 1900 Dress Regulations. (male) (uniform)
