Summary
Livery jacket made from red silk velvet and lined with yellow silk tabby. It is trimmed with 50mm gold lace and gold Russian braid - around the neck, down leading edges of the fronts, down the side fronts, across the shoulder seam, down the side back seams to hip level, along centre back vent, round cuffs. There is a cipher across the centre back (now missing). Outline of letters 'G' 'R' with a crown between and a star shaped badge below. Fastens with hooks and eyes. There is a paper label sewn into neckband 'R Sherard Kennedy'. (male) Wade Catalogue number 64 "Livery Coat of red velvet with gold lace. Traces of royal monogram on the back G.
