Summary
Poncho from South America/ Incan? made from heavy animal fibre (alpaca?) tapestry woven with an undyed warp and weft wide stripes of navy with narrower stripes of blue and terracotta and thin stripes of undyed yarn, navy, blue and old gold. Made from 3 pieces joined together. The front seam is butted together with knotted interlacing stitch in blocks of blue and pale orange. The neck and armhole are embroidered in chevrons of blue and pale orange.
