Summary
Kaftan from Turkey made from yellow and brown striped brocade. There is a formal design on he yellow stripes in pink and green with silk cored silver thread. On the brown stripe there is a similar design each surrounded in silk cored silver thread. The lining is of green wool tabby. Thre is silk fringing - yellow wiht silver threads and cream with gold threads down the front, round the hem including the sashes in the side seams and around the cuffs. Also wool narrow braid attached inside the fringing and on all the seams except centre back seam - probably of a later date. It has probably been cut down. (male)
