Summary
Dressing gown; Banyan - Made of wool, printed with a Paisley design in saxe blue, black, old rose, crushed strawberry, pink, beige and cream. Lined with cream cotton. Double-breasted. Skirts slightly on the cross; partlaced into waist seam. Pocket flaps gathered on either side into pockets. Upper-cut with curving side back seams. Two centre-back sections extend from collar to hem. Sleeves curved with 3 inch (76 mm) false cuffs fastened with 2 buttons (all missing). Stand and fall collar. All buttons except 1 missing (self covered fabric). 6 buttonholes on each front. Traces of tape in lining at left side at waist level and right side 3.5 inch (90 mm) above waist level.
