Summary
One of a pair of slippers - Made from cream silk with a brown leather sole. They are lined with cream glazed cotton with green kid stiffener. They are a turnshoe construction. They are decorated with cream silk ribbon along the upper edges and side seams. There are 3 floral stamps on the sole with wheeling along the waist. They have later additions on the vamp - a piece of flower sprigged brocade (the same fabric as SNO.TC.12). There are lengths of ribbon on the uppers and vamp throat. There is a cream rosette at the vamp throat. There is a makers label on both of the Prince of Wales feathers 'Ich Dien', 'Borsley, No 43 Wigmore Street, Cavendish Square', and Philips' handwritten on the side of the vamp on the right only. Slippers SNO.TC.151 have similar alterations. (female)
