Summary
One of six cupro nickel coins from West Africa. It has a hole in the centre and the obverse shows crown with embossed lettering which reads 'EDWARD VII KING AND EMPEROR ONE PENNY' with unidentified characters. Reverse shows six pointed star surrounded by embossed lettering which reads 'NIGERIA BRITISH WEST AFRICA 1908' Previously associated with inventory number MSS.709.
