Summary
Persian lacquer pen case with sleeve cover. Overall painted black with gold floral decoration and running borders of red ivy. Ivory painted Persian inscription translated 'Fit for a King'. Base with orange painted background and panel with gold decoration. Paper label recording 'Persian Painting Case 10/-'. Sliding interior painted green with brass ink pot. Contains ink oil spoon 1339880.2.
