Summary
Persian lacquered pen case with sleeve cover. Highly stylised floral decoration overall with displaying peacocks to the sides and the top. Painted in colours of gold, black, green, and red. Ivory coloured background. Plain red painted base with gold trellis decoration. Sliding compartment with brass ink pot with pierced end. Interior painted with turquoise, green and red flowers on ivory background. Arabic text inside cover. Contains oil spoon.1339875.2.
