Summary
Persian lacquered wood games box, body painted with frieze of a hunting scene, mounted horses, elephant and attendants. Sliding lid showing view of a palace, two ladies on a balcony. Throned figure and two servants underneath. Overall colours dark green, red , yellow, ivory and gold. Painted red inside and on the base. Containing eighty-one round lacquered counters with emblems to each side.
