Summary
Lotus leaf style fan, buffalo hide, stylised, pierced and painted decoration. White and gold on grey/pink hide. Two headed bird emblem in centre. Carved bone handle extends to shaped supports for fan. In notebook no.4, page 50 (1340945.4) Charles Wade refers to: 'Seraphim 193. Four Fans of pierced and painted buffalo parchment with horn handles. KIPAS = fan.'
