Summary
Bosun's pipe or whistle with plain webb. Standard anchor pattern. Hallmarked, Birmingham assay office 1902. Bought by National Trust to replace stolen one. Original was CPW Item number 96. In notebook no.2, page 28 (1340945.2) Charles Wade refers to: 'Admiral 96. Bosn’s Pipe. Modarn, form unchanged but workmanship much inferior.' [Referring 1339476] The original item was stolen.
