Summary
Box; Snuffbox of coquilla nut in form of man, head thrust forward, hump backed, jacket with pearl buttons, whose back hinges open. 'One of two snuffboxes in the form of men, the back opens to reveal cavity, made from coquille nut. One bought from Alfred Clarke, Ipswich, 21 December 1900 (M. Jessup).
