Summary
Bone model of four figures at a spinning wheel, on two platforms. The upper platform with spinning wheel and three female figures, one wearing a poke bonnet working at the wheel, one holding a utensil and one with painted dress and figure of a baby in a cradle beside them. The fourth figure depicts a black harlequin, body and costume painted. The lower platform with three interconnected decorative cog wheels and a handle, which turns the spinning wheel above by means of a thread, and cams which operate other movements. Pair of wooden block feet. Prisoner-of-war work.
