Summary
Carved bone model of a whatnot stand, with three shelves and barley twist uprights. Carved objects and utensils fixed to all three shelves: including a selection of candlesticks, jugs, containers, bowls, etc. The top and bottom shelves with eight carved items each, the middle shelf with six. Prisoner-of-war work.

bought from Wyndham Payne, Cheltenham, 14th June 1945, for £1, 10s Given to the National Trust with Snowshill Manor in 1951 by Charles Paget Wade.
