Summary
Delicate bone model of a wool winding wheel. Six shaped arms and a turning handle, raised on two supports above an open base with four curved sides on four feet. Delicate thread representing wool now mostly lost. Prisoner-of-war work.

bought from Frank Field, Southwold, Suffolk, 3rd October 1937, 2s Given to the National Trust with Snowshill Manor in 1951 by Charles Paget Wade.
