Summary
Card train model made by Charles Paget Wade. Engine and tender 'L.S.W.R' on track. Painted green and black with green wheels. Engine – Railway locomotive, 4-4-0 configuration. Painted green with black base, boiler front and cab top. Wheels, with red connecting rods, on metal pin axles. Driving cylinders underneath with pin connecting rods. Wire rails along boiler. Metal coupling chain at front, and other tiny metal details. Detailed controls in cab. Tender – Locomotive tender. Painted green, ‘L S W R’ in gold on both sides. Filled with coal, and a miniature trun. Base and wheels black. Wheels on metal pin axles. Coupling chain at rear. Track – length of track made of two card strips on metal sleepers and a card base, mounted on a varnished wooden base, one side and both ends chamfered. ‘L S W R’ in gold on chamfered side.
