Summary
Model; Train engine - Green and black painted clockwork class C1 Great Northern large 4-4-2 Atlantic engine with outside cylinders and tender with simulated coal. Engine cab has black and white lining whilst tender and boiler barrel and cylinders have white, black, white lining. Underframe of both is dark chocolate brown outlined in red with a white stripe below the footplate. Green wheels on both, with red connecting rods on engine. Red motion and buffer beams on engine. Buffers are spring loaded. Painted gold lettering on the tender with black and red outline which reads 'GNR' (Great Northern Railway). On the engine cab sides and front buffer beam painted gold lettering highlighted in red which reads '1466'. Working lamp brackets. Control rods for clockwork mechanism run into the cab. Winding spindle between the two driving wheels on the left side. Wire rails along both sides of boiler. Part of footplate folds down to provide platform across to front platform of tender.No maker's Mark, possibly made for Charles Paget Wade. Possibly from the period 1901 to 1922. Paint work has scratches on chassis.
