Summary
Pair of early squash racquets in light coloured wood, handles have insets of ebony with decoration of ivy leaves in bone in the handle and a shamrock at the throat. Heads much smaller than modern ones. Strings in very poor condition. In notebook no.5, page 56 (1340945.5) Charles Wade refers to: 'Seventh Heaven no.200 4 "Squash" Rackets 1863 P.A.Wade'.
