Summary
Manual fire engine stamped 'Merryweather. London'. Wooden wheels and spokes with iron trims and cogs. Iron chassis bracket on wheels and iron pulley handle. Iron corner supports and pumping handle. Wheels and body show traces of red paint. Plaque at front made of iron. Charles Wade recalls the manual fire engine from Yoxford in his notebook SNO.MISC.955 on page 60 which also includes a painted sketch and description.
