Summary
Mile wheel - red painted wooden way-wiser with black metal wheel rim. Wooden box attached to the side containing three dials, each having a printed face with a brass pointer. In notebook no.5, page 107 (1340945.5) Charles Wade refers to: 'Large Garret no.87 Mile Wheel with wooden mechanism. The wheel has a 'hoop' rim with turned column form spokes, painted Red and grey' Includes sketch with dimensions.
