Summary
Model of a fire engine with brass water tank with taps and valves, brass pump. Metal body painted red with lettering: 'L.C.C Fire Brigade'. Metal rail around driving position, footrest for driver. Top lifts off body. Rubber hose (broken). Loose ladder hooked onto body. Metal wheels with brass tyres. No shafts. '1890'. In notebook no.5, page 32 (1340945.5) Charles Wade refers to: 'Nursery no.25 Fire Engine painted red, lettered in gold, with brass boiler, fly-wheel, air-chamber pump, delivery hose. Cylinder 1½" x 52'. Includes sketch with dimensions.
