Bicycle - Velocipede, iron frame. Mounting step on left side by rear wheel. Wooden wheels, painted black, lined rose, iron tyres screwed on. Leather saddle on springs, adjustable along crossbar. Rope operated brake on rear wheel. In notebook no.5, page 101 (1340945.5) Charles Wade refers to: 'Large Garret no. Ten specimens with wooden wheels 7 (66.7) The whole dark Brown & lined orange - cream with the name "ROSE" fr. London'
