Summary
Bicycle - Velocipede, iron frame and wooden wheels, all painted black. Iron tyres screwed on. Rope-operated brake on rear wheel. Leather saddle, adjustable along crossbar. Wooden hand grips. Wooden, triangular section pedals covered with a thin layer of textured metal. In notebook no.5, page 101 (1340945.5) Charles Wade refers to: 'Large Garret no. Ten specimens with wooden wheels 8 (66.8) All black. Belonged to the Coachbuilder of Worcester'
