Summary
Bicycle - Velocipede, iron frame, wooden wheels all painted dark green, lined with yellow. Leather saddle, adjustable along crossbar. Cord brake strap, wooden grips on handlebars, wooden pedals of triangular section with metal ends. In notebook no.5, page 101 (1340945.5) Charles Wade refers to: 'Large Garret no. Ten specimens with wooden wheels 9 (66.9) Dark green with two different trials of rubber tyres - one rim is of channel & the other has plates screwed on to form channel for rubber. fr. Malmesbury, Wilts.'
