Summary
Model of Magnet stagecoach by Mr Waiting. Very detailed, complete with chains, chocks, steps etc. Black and yellow with red wheels and undercarriage. Opening doors with miniature catches operated by door handles. Opening windows operated by straps pulled from the base. Textile seat cushions, inside and on top. Destinations, painted on sides; Hampton and London, Putney, Kingston, Bushey Park, Richmond. In notebook no.5, page 53 (1340945.5) Charles Wade refers to: 'Seventh Heaven no.174 Model of the Magnet Stage Coach built c.1840 a very perfect scale model 1 1/3" to a foot showing every nut, bolt in detail, made for me by H. R. WAITING 1936'. Includes sketch, and in pencil 'Hundred Wheels'.
