Summary
Small wooden chair mounted on a wooden frame with two wheels, and two traces at the front, and duckboard at the rear. Red and black. "ROYAL MAIL CART Patd. No. 12785" painted on outside of both shafts. Traces of red paint, overpainted or faded to brown with black lines. Wheels wooden spokes, iron rim. In notebook no.5, page 94 (1340945.5) Charles Wade refers to: 'Large garret no. 104 "ROYAL MAIL CART" painted red. Early example with wooden wheels. Fr Hawford, Worcs.' Sketch included.
