Summary
Open carriage pram on metal and wood 'spring' suspension. Two seats facing surrounded by iron shoulder rails on three sides. Two loose seat cushions with green covers. Wooden chassis on four wheels, wooden spokes, iron rim wheels (one front wheel spokes replaced). In notebook no.5, page 94 (1340945.5) Charles Wade refers to: 'Large Garret item no. 41 Child's chaise the beginning of the perambulator. Set on wooden springs, with perch undercarriage. Socket for sunshade, painted dark brown. Fr Stowmarket, Suffolk' Sketch alongside with date 1820.
