Summary
Flag; Engsign - White ensign in wool bunting with Union flag in top corner and red cross of St George across the centre. Wooden toggle to top for raising. In notebook no.2, page 7 (1340945.2) Charles Wade refers to: 'Admiral 30. A White Ensign picked up in the North Sea during the Great War, 5'5" long, by a Mine Sweeper'.
Provenance
CPW Item 30, it was picked up in the North Sea during the Great War by a Mine Sweeper. Given to the National Trust with Snowshill Manor in 1951 by Charles Paget Wade.
