Summary
Bag; Saddlebag - Eastern saddlebag Shiraz with three large tassels with cowrie shells and binding. Red, orange and green colours. Central woven panel has red ground with central lozenge pattern. 'Afghan Belouch, early 20th Century'. (Sara Bamford, April 1997) Flat stitch face with cowrie shells. Single bag hung by piece of wood with hooks. Three large tassels with cowrie shells at bottom of bag and one on right hand side at top. One long cord from top of each side of bag. Two long cords separate, one with large tassels at bottom and small tassel at top, the other with one large tassel at bottom.
